Here It Goes...

Ah! I see you've stumbled across my First Post. You should know from trolling around blogs that it's clearly an introduction to me and my many many scribbles.

This is another likely failed attempt at a project blog. I've made several before and deleted them, but I think I have a few ideas that may keep this one around for a while.

My biggest hobby has been collecting miniature wargaming armies; Warhammer: Age of Sigmar has been my primary game for the past 6.75 years since it replaced Fantasy Battles (of which I played for about 2). With the release of Fury of the Deep in January 2022, I've collected at least 1,000 points of nearly every AoS army (Only Sons of Behemat is short at 985, but it is exempt as 1 Mega and 3 Mancrushers feels like a good stop point). The first long term goal is to have it all built (Within this year is not unobtainable), and get it all painted (Significantly more unobtainable, but I have a long time left to go).

The biggest hurdle to getting AoS armies complete is that in last year I decided to go all in on doing the same for Warhammer 40K, and have since doubled (if not tripled) the number of boxes I own. There are a few other games as well, I have all but three non-collectable models for Guild Ball (currently defunct), I have a collection for the original four Warmachine armies, and much of Super Dungeon Explore pre-Legends Kickstarter (which I'm not against, but with the other collections I've put zero effort into trying to support the game/company). Warcry I almost always try to collect, but it is filed under the AoS project. Necromunda on the other hand is something I have wanted to get into (I think it's under $1K to buy everything), and even bought the Dark Uprising set (I love a nice complete terrain set), but have not moved beyond that due to realizing I got enough stuff.

Two accompanying projects I have also been working on are settings for future solo campaigns I have in mind; The first is a desert world I’m merely going to be using my AoS models in, but have decided to make it my own setting instead of tying it to AoS, with the tentative name Tyrant’s Desert. The second is a far-future setting that is based in the 40K universe I’m set on calling The 50th Millenium.

A recent troll through blogs was what made me realize that my initial plans for YouTube were more work than necessary, and that while writing is not my forte, a blog may be a great medium for projects. And without further ado, you are here.

Andrew
